Arina Sabalenka (Belarus), the world No. 1 player in women's tennis, has won her second Women's Professional Tennis (WTA) Tour trophy this year.
Sabalenka defeated Jessica Pegula of the U.S. 2-0 (7-56-2) in the women's singles final on the 11th day of the Miami Open (total prize money of $8,963,700) held in Miami, Florida on the 30th (Korea time).

This is the first time Sabalenka has won the Miami Open.
Sabalenka increased the number of WTA 1000 wins to eight, matching Mariya Sharapova (retired, Russia).
The only players with records ahead of Sabalenka in this category are Serena Williams (13th, U.S., retired), Victoria Azaranka (10th, Belarus), Iga Cibiontech (10th, Poland), Simona Halev (9th, Romania, retired), and Petra Kvitova (9th, Czech Republic).
Sabalenka kept the win by pressing Pegula with a powerful shot whenever a crisis came.
